Fort Hamilton was the first hospital in Butler County to receive designation as a level II childbirth center. Our experienced caring staff, hydrotherapy, state-of-the-art facilities and a full range of childbirth classes help mothers through their labor, delivery, and recovery. Our beautiful birthing rooms allow labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care in a single setting that is equipped with sleeper chairs and bassinets to keep your new family close to you. Our level II nursery includes 24-hour coverage by neonatologists from Children’s Hospital Medical Center to ensure that most babies needing special care can be treated close to home. Lactation consultants and breastfeeding support groups also help support new moms even after they leave our care. All new parents and babies are encouraged to stay connected with our Family Birthplace teams, even upon return home, to answer questions about newborn feeding, weight gain and other basic new parent concerns.

The Family Birthplace offers a wide range of childbirth education classes for you and your family to make sure everyone is ready for the new arrival. From unit tours and newborn care, to sibling classes and refresher courses, you’ll find what you need to prepare for delivery and beyond.

Learn infant CPR, choking and other safety tips. You will discover how you can save a baby's life in
this American Heart Association class. |
