Intensive Care Unit

At the Ralph Rogan Carruthers intensive care unit, critically ill and injured patients can depend on intensive treatment that is available when they need it. Our 16-bed intensive care unit (ICU) helps ensure that our sickest patients and their families have the kind of care they need and deserve, close to home.

This 42,000 square foot facility, completed in 2006, has allowed us to treat an additional 1,500 seriously ill patients each year and gives us the additional space needed to house all of the latest critical care technology.

Also included in this $16 million expansion is a rooftop helipad. The helipad provides patients and caregivers an improved transport route, increasing safety and decreasing the time required to transfer patients.

Patients in the ICU are cared for by intensivists, doctors who specialize in critical care, and specially trained critical care nurses.

Visiting Hours: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
(No visitors from 7 – 7:30 a.m. and p.m. because of shift changes and nurses report.)

Visitors must be older than 14 years of age.
